I tore my acl. in my left knee years ago. Surgery, 6 months of physical therapy, twice a week. There went my pro football career. Heh.

Generally her health is pretty good for an 86 year old!
Waiting for a bone scan to see if it's broken or just cracked. Not sure what the difference in terms of recovery is. A nurse mentioned something about an operation and I can't for the life of me figure out what that would be!

Yah. We won't see "spring" until April. But it's still nice to know, even subtly things are moving in that direction.

really a crack and a break are the same. they would either put pins in or she might have to have it replaced. if she's in good health, the recovery time and the PT shouldn't be that bad. it would be easier, i think, with just pins.

Hopefully your mom's hip isn't broken...ouch

Dare you say spring is in the air?

I bet swimming feels good to that knee

No 8?

+1 for that ... either way it's gonna be a trial.

I'm seeing signs of Spring. Albeit teensy ones. The chickadees singing "chick-a-dee-dee-dee" brings hope!

Nope. No 8. ;)
