Usually I avoid watching horror flicks at night (I love them and everything, but I'm weak so I watch them during the day) but this one came on TV and I saw that the gorgeous Rooney Mara was in the lineup so I decided to throw

that remake was the worst of all of the Elm streets movies. the best thing about Freddy K was his witty comebacks an sarcastic attitude. This Freddy was just blah blah x infinity. Dont they know the horror movie rules? You never mess with the original one. I hate that movie. I only wanted to see it cuz of Kellan Lutz ( yes big emmitt fan from Twilight) but he was in it for 4 mins. Lame!!!

Oh on a happy note you inspired me to do Holly Marie/Piper icons. Working on them now.

This Freddy was just creepy and he wasn't cool, the thing about horror movies is you have to admire the villain a little and if you want them to be iconic, the audience definitely have to like the villain (in that demented way that you cheer for annoying characters to be killed) and this one was entirely unlikable. Not that scary, it was made in 2010 and somehow the makeup from back in the eighties was better? This Freddy just looked like he had a really bad sun-burn.
Kellan Lutz's death was really, really cool though I must admit, haha, I love gore!!

Exciting, can't wait to see what you come up with :)

i agree his death was the best in the whole movie. it was the only original part of the movie. i hate remakes especially bad ones. I love horror movies. they are my fave. I hope i can come up with some good ones.

I like how we both watched it only to see the actors, both holding a hatred of remakes. At least your dude died straight away, you could have switched off after that, mine stuck around for the whole movie and made me suffer through it all. Rooney was the main character in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Nancy, she was also the title role in David Fincher'sThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I don't think I do have a favourite, to be honest. I used to watch it when it originally aired, but I was WAY younger then so I don't remember specifics and I've only managed to get the first season on DVD so far... unfortunately...
