They say that when people return home after travelling they often adopt aspects of the culture in which they were immeresed.
-Style of dress -Slang/Accent -Customs -Tendency to refer to the country they visited in every situation.
Usually the residue fades after a few months, however in extreme cases it can become nessesscary for ones friends to smack the traveller upside the head, and to remind them that they are "Not a God-damned! *Insert Country or appropriate ethnic slur here*"
Example:
*SMACK*
"Sarah! You are not a god-damned limey! Drop the cockney accent!"

I also incidentally read that as "leather thong", which would have been interesting.
