A little help

So its my turn to pick the book for the next book group. Since my head is generally a mush of Commercial/Property/EC/Evidence Law I've not really had much time to think about it. Does anyone want to recommend something they read recently (or not so recently in fact)?

At work we've been asked to read the shortlist for the Carnegie medal for young people's novels or whatever it's called. Over the weekend I read "What I Was" by Meg Rosoff. It was a nice easy read (obviously), and threw up some very interesting issues. I wasn't totally convinced by the ending, but I did enjoy reading it.

I'm currently reading "Dark Angel" by Sally Beauman. I've only just started, but it seems to be a pretty epic tale, and quite kinky!:x
