Once upon a time before my divorce my (then) wife and I found ourselves needing to discuss religion and our daughter. Our daughter(is it more appropriate to say my daughter, it just sounds selfish to word it that way in this story) was very young and as is the way with many protestant religions the issue of christening was raised. My (then) wife and I were both christians so to her it seemed a no-brainer. Still she asked what I thought. She of course was mostly wondering logistics such as which church(hers being baptist(all be it one that practiced christening) and mine technically methodist). Much to the surprise of her, her parents, and my parents I objected to it completely
