There has got to be some kind of compromise between telling everybody everything and telling nobody anything.

It must be Livejournal! ;)

(No, but really... I suppose I'm going to defeat my own post by saying this, but there are some things that I detail much more fully in LJ than I think I should, and some things I never post about at all. I dunno.)

I would kind of agree with this, though, and I forgot to say it in my post. Journaling first (whether privately or on here or whatev) is a good outlet...I think that by doing that, you weed out what's actually worth telling your friends.

I find that when I try to say nothing at all, I say everything and when I try to say everything, I say nothing.

Dude it's an art form. One that I'm incapable of mastering.

hmm...there definitely has to be a compromise. but i think you should always put whatever is on your mind in your journal, even if no one but you can read it. because it's healthy to let all that bad stuff out (oh man i sound like my psychiatrist) and i don't do that enough myself. instead of just have random crying jags. :P so you seem to be doing better than me.
