Review: HAIRSPRAY

I actually really liked this. I went into expecting hilarity of the unintentional kind and actually was surprised to find it is pretty funny intentionally. The whole John Travolta thing does take some getting used to and (dangerous to admit) I've never really gotten the Christopher Walker appeal (cowbell?) but this is a fun movie. Cowbell is the greatest SNL sketch Ever. I have a fever and the only the cure is more cowbell. I put my pants on like the rest of else one leg at a time except once my pants are on I make gold records.

I really enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun but I expected very little.

Ditto on James Marsden.

See, I've seen that sketch and I've seen the dancing in the Fat Boy Slim video and I get it in theory...it just always seems to me like he doesn't get the joke?

The cowbell reference in the entry is as a possible reason for why he's such a cult icon. I always appreciate when he's in something, I just don't get why he always is, you know? I don't even get why I don't get it. I just suck.

Personally I love Will Ferrell so I appreciate the Cowbell sketch. Plus I mean how adorable is Jimmy Fallon in the back ground laughing. Christopher Walken is a bit weird and I don't love him I just don't mind him. I always associate him with the dodgy sci fi movie he made with Natalie wood before she died. Walken as this awkward thing about him which is hard to connect with. It's like he is that family member who wants to be part of something but just can't quite get it.

Yes! That's it exactly! You can't quite tell if he gets the joke or is just trying to be part of it...maybe that's his sense of humour or something.
