On the twenty-third day of the month of September… Seymour was walkin' in the wholesale flower district... Alright, I cheated with the lyrics right there. And might keep on doing it. Shoot me at leisure.
Audrey II is a “mean green mother” from outer space. He doesn’t come from no black lagoon; he’s been past the stars and beyond the moon. During a total eclipse of the sun, this alien plant landed at the flower shop of a Chinese man. Seymour, who worked at another, if less successful, one, bought it as rare plants were his hobby.
Christening it Audrey II, after Seymour’s crush and co-worker Audrey, they placed it at the shop’s window. At the sight of such a rarity, customers poured into it, finally giving hope to Mushnik (Seymour’s adoptive father and boss) and the two helpers. Yet, there was a price to pay, as Audrey II would only feed off human blood, which its owner quickly provided.
Business boomed for the little shop, but then Audrey II grew. He grew so much and got so hungry that he demanded more than blood from poor Seymour’s fingers. Slitting his wrists would have sufficed, but the flower shop assistant wasn’t up for that. Taking another course of action, the giant carnivorous plant convinced Seymour to kill Audrey’s abusive boyfriend. He shouldn’t have taken that nap while waiting for the man to get back from the dentist’s place, right?
[Personality]
Audrey II, although a plant and thus dubious of gender, has both a manly voice and a manly attitude. He doesn’t care much about manners he got a filthy mouth, he does, if at all, but words are what he relies on. Dewey’s not too large just yet, and can’t quite move around with his pot apart from hopping to the rhythm, so he needs to manipulate other people to get anything done AKA get his meals ready. As soon as whoever he was using loses their worth, he won’t hesitate to throw them away.
He aims for filling the world with his babies and achieving world conquest.
[Specialties/Abilities]
He’s a speaking, moving plant. With very sharp teeth.
And he might burst into song as he sees fit. If he can even drag other characters into it is unknown.
[Affection] Remember kids, the way to an extraterrestial plant's heart is through his stomach. How literally you want to take that it's up to you.
[Fighting] For the moment, Audrey II here doesn't want to cause more conflict than the necessary for his meals. His vines are strong enough to fight if somebody gets the idea of ridding the world of a threat to humanity, though.
