Well the time has finally come to retire my poor old car and get a new one. I would love to get an STI, but it is out of my price range. I prefer smaller cars and love the hatchback feature on my old car. So, after some research, I've narrowed my search down to the VW Rabbit or the VW GTI Mk V.

Having done both, I would rather lease. Yeah, you wind up being upside down the whole time but you get a new car every few years. I probably wouldn't buy another Subaru. The car has been very dependable however the lack of dealerships and subaru mechanics is annoying. There is a certain cheapness about the interior that is rather off-putting as well.
