My whole time boarding today, I kept thinking how weird it felt for me to be leading with my left foot as I was taught. Now, I read about "goofy" foot online and wonder if boarding that way would solve my problems. I really need to get in touch with someone who knows what they are doing with board setups so they can help me to set up the bindings on my board correctly for "goofy" foot.

A little money spent on basic lessons will save your bones and heartache....I hear ya though...when I surf I use my strongest foot at the back in control of the board...When I water ski, my strongest foot is at the front ala goofy foot for me.

Go get some lessons or a friend who is good to give you tips. Then again thats why your writing here....search for a LJ Snowboarding community or a community online elseware who has a forum..

Do you know anyone that has a trampoline? It’s one really good way to practice. Make sure that the trampoline has safety-padding k.

A trampoline is a good way to practice flying through the air not so much how to actually roll down the mountain.

Take a lesson or two, everyone's first day or two is spent on your butt and knees, the trick to learning to snowboard is going back after those first few days. Keep at it!
