My reaction to the new "Who" is much like yours--in the past, on episode day, it was this near-frenzied excitement, the anticipation of getting the download and watching it RIGHT THEN...
...now, my husband can't even remember what day it's on, and--by asking every week--reminds me that "oh, yeah, there's a new one, isn't there" and I go get it. I'm simply not enjoying it as I once did. Everything seems so...well, to use your word: flat. Every week we're treated to another set-up, and every week it's as if we don't learn anything about these people. Amy--she's a little girl, then she's grown and getting married. Oh, wow! She's run away with a space man! Oh, now she's back and bringing her man along...and--I won't say anything more, just in case, but I didn't like how that panned out. :P

I'm completely caught up. Rory's... situation... annoyed me. I'll admit I was beginning to like him.
Avoria said that she thinks Moffat's struggling with the length of time he's now responsible for, and I do think the arc is problematic. I just am not sure exactly why, since it's not Moffat's first time at writing a long arc (he's done it for other shows, after all).
Like you, I'm sticking it out. I doubt I'll stop watching entirely, but it's definitely not the "ooh! Who day!" excitement anymore. We watch, make a comment or two, and then move on with the day. It's become disposable TV. Enjoyed somewhat for a little adventure, but quickly forgotten.
