daveed, you are better qualified for a lot of jobs than a lot of the people holding them. you're also more intelligent. but let's consider that the one remotely funny thing would be making gays use the back door.

i absentee balloted all the way.
i voted no on one and was like.. do i really have to fill out the rest of this? even if i DO vote for money towards roads, will i ever really notice it? no.

i think it's silly. i read some editorial in the paper & some guy was like "vote yes on one. it gives homosexuals special rights. there are already laws in place to prohibit discrimination, why do we need more?"

i don't think he knew that the laws already in place were the very laws being voted on to be repealed with question no. 1.

it just ... people are so ill-informed.

there are signs all over lewiston/auburn saying "preserve marriage in maine, vote yes on #1" and honestly, i'd rather puke in my underwear and put it back on than really believe it would have that effect.
but you're right. people don't get it.
