Very bad news, guys. Princess Meat Bunny, Esquire, has died. I don't know how or why... god, I feel like such a fuckup.

Fuck, I'm so very sorry. :( I can't believe it. :( I personally would suggest doing the necropsy, because if you don't, you will always wonder if you should have. It may not give you any answers, but at least you'll have done what you could to find out what happened.

Rest in peace, Meatbunny. You were much loved.

That Meat Bunny was one hell of a stripper. But it's true what they say, 'live fast, die young, leave a corpse that would make a nice hat'.

Seriously, I would beg off the necropsy, she lived an average lifespan for a bunny. I can guarantee you gave that rabbit a better life than it ever would have known otherwise. You guys are great animal parents, probably the best.

Don't beat yourself up. I've had a few pets with squishy lumps and I've always been told they were just harmless cysts and would have assumed the same about Meat's. Considering that she was bred to be a house rabbit and was probably inbred to be a feeder I would consider 4 years to be a good long life. And it's about the quality of life she had, not the quantity. And you treated Meat so well that it made me feel guilty of how my pet bunnies when I was little were kept. You were an astounding bunmum, and no bunny could have ever dreamed of anything better. You have set a true pet owner standard to be lived up to. I'll definitely have a drink in memory of Meat.
