There's an island off of Australia where everyone assumes they are related to one another, however distantly, and so when driving everyone waves at each other. I thought that was nice. I should also note that this particular island decided to have pine trees.

there is an old man in my neighborhood who waves at me every time i see him yet we have never spoken. it's kind of sweet.
