I am going to have a house warming-ish or something - was originally thinking January for New Years now I am maybe thinking Chinese New year in February (hahahahah)

YAY! We were all sad that there was no Dia de Los Muertos.. but understood it wasn't exactly great timing for that. Chinese New Year would be a lot of fun!!!

Which workaround did you settle on for the media room?

Damn - too hard to explain here - but a combination of track shelving (reduced) and converting my vaguely Asian/Indain bookcases to quasi built ins with some custom shelving - should be CHEAP and look cool and increase functionality!
