man, i didn;t think about the swollen hand as being part of the chantix side effects.....and the tiredness....

try the half dose, but seriously, the cure seems worse than the sickness, so to speak.

I LOVE my couch!!!!

Yea, the Chantix is really kicking my ass both emotionally and physically. I am going to stop it if I don't have a major improvement - this is no fun at all. I am really sick of my entire body hurting all the time and for a while I thought it was just my usual acjes and pains but then I realized it was WAY worse than usual and didn't go away!!!

THere is a rush of energy when you quit? Why was I not told??? Yeah, I had my doubts about Chantix...however, Welbutrin, which is an antidepressant, has caused people to quit smoking as a side effect. It helps control compulsive behavior. But I am all for the gum, that's what my mom used.

Ok.. it's not terribly encouraging for you to continue on the path of quitting smoking if the entire process is making you feel completely horribly miserable. It's obviously a difficult process, but it seems like the drugs are stripping away ANY motivating benefits that you would normally receive when stopping. Are there perhaps some herbal supplements you could try in place?
