I find Meaux's work both pedantic and amatuerish. Her lopsided sun displays a sense of movement that is at odds with the rest of the picture. This creates a sense of dissonance that never quite makes it into the profound.
The one element, however, that must be applauded is the tilted road (the future) leading into a steep left-handed horizon. This symbolism may be heavy-handed but still manages to convey without overwhelming.
