I finally got a straight answer (or at least what passes for one) about my employment situation: "We're pulling the sign guy program for now. It's not that you aren't doing a good job, it's just that we aren't getting the results we were hoping for." Oh joy.

Previous address is because employers are more interested in hiring people who stay in one place for a bit of time. If you move every year, you appear to an employer like someone who wouldn't stick around in their job for long either.
