Any day now you'll feel up to being on a bike. And then I will make you put your bike on the max and I will meet you downtown and we'll ride places.
Or we could go on the Midnight Mystery Ride--I think it's the third Friday of every month? Meets somewhere in Portland, leaves at midnight, the destination is....a mystery! It's fun. :^)
No, it's based on the Exalted variation on the Storyteller system actually. Similar enough that you could easily learn one after playing the other, but different (and a bit more complex) enough that it would take a little getting used to. It's set in a place that bears some resemblance to the World of Darkness, but the focus is on the various Pantheons struggling against the Titans and their children... lotsa fun.
(and since my character is the child of Huitzilopotchli I get to practice pronouncing Nahuatl names for gods in the bargain)
ok, thanks. I'm still getting my bearings in the pen & paper world. So far I've read WoD (all), Mage (most) & Vampire (some), as well as Unhallowed Metropolis. But I've not actually gotten to play any of them. I have the books (and the dice), but not actual people willing to invest themselves into it.
Not familiar with UnMet, except in concept. I'd certainly be willing to jump in if you ever try to get a game together, but it'd have to be on a day I'm not already doing something.
I'd invite you to pitch in on one of our sessions, but my current primary group is 8 people, and that's about the most a game can handle without serious issues. 4-6 seems to be the best setup for most things.

Even in BeaverTron, having a bike is just very freeing. You can get anywhere! By yourself! On your own schedule! Without paying for gas! Wheeee!
