Ichigo really didn't know what to make of the new addition to the household.

He knew to begin with that they'd gotten the android because of his own inability to clean or do other household tasks, but that didn't mean he was thrilled about it. Ichigo wasn't very happy to hear they'd actually found someone, either, as it just required he get to know another person. It also meant another person to keep his eye on should a Maverick break down the door. More work.

The android was weird, too. He hadn't listened when Isshin told the girls about wherever the guy came from-- hadn't cared, really and still didn't-- but Ichigo didn't really know what a fragile looking android could have possibly been built for. He guessed you didn't need to be all that strong for cleaning, but wasn't there a limit on this kind of thing ( ... )

Keigo definitely had a real issue with hiding how he felt 99.9% of the time, and that moment was no different. He had taken to an obsessive mannerism of polishing a window a little bit more than necessary. His brain was already well aware that the damn thing was as clean as it would get, but his nervousness just kept barging in, telling him that maybe he missed a spot and should go over it all again, just to make sure. It had to be perfect for his new owner, right? He didn't want to disappoint him and then be sent back to the base or something and then--

"AHH!" The sudden low voice behind him caused Keigo to jump and stumble a little in front of the window, nearly dropping the bottle of cleaning solution onto the floor. He whirled around, eyes impossibly wide and maybe even scared, and when he realized it was that really scary-looking guard who had addressed him, it only got worse. He started stuttering, and for the first few seconds, it was pretty much impossible to understand a damn word the android was saying. After that, he shook ( ... )

Ichigo blinked, surprised by Keigo's.. surprise. He didn't think he'd been that discreet about his entrance into the room but apparently he had been stealthier than expected. Huh. Maybe he had gotten a little better about that. Or maybe Keigo had just not been very observant.

Whatever. "I think you're about to rub the window out of existence." It didn't matter that that was impossible, it certainly seemed like Keigo had been working on it. All the stuttering and stammering was a little annoying, and Ichigo scowled a little at it. "Do you always talk like that?" Maybe that was why he'd needed new owners; the old ones must have been driven mad by constant stuttering. Couldn't they fix small things like that?

Keigo was forcing a nervous smile as Ichigo stood there and stared at him, having set down the bottle of cleaner in favor of focusing his hands on wringing at the rag he had been using to clean the window. He didn't notice that in doing so, he was dripping cleaner onto the floor, but the motion was more of a nervous habit, anyway. He'd probably snap out of it once he calmed down.

"Ahahaha... I just.. er. I don't want to .. uh. S-slack off! Yeah!" Odd in that slacking off was something he kind of liked to do, but then again, he'd gladly give that up in favor of a place to stay. He blinked when Ichigo had asked him about his speech patterns, and he laughed again, shrugging a little, "Aah, s-sorry! It's something of a glitch I have... it happens when I'm nervous!" He'd definitely have to try and work on that. Somehow. It wasn't like anyone was able to fix his programming, aside from the man who had made him. And if he met the same fate as his owners, well. Keigo wasn't going to be fixed any time soon.

Ichigo's gaze flicked down to Keigo's hands for a moment and the sight caused his eyebrow to raise slightly. He really didn't get why the android was so twitchy about things. It wasn't like there was anything in the room that should have made Keigo so nervous. Ichigo didn't consider ever for a second that he might be slightly intimidating. It wasn't like any showed they were scared of him; not Yuzu or Karin and certainly not the insane Mavericks who smashed into the clinic at random intervals. So why the android would be scared didn't even cross his mind ( ... )

Keigo's hands were still wringing at the cloth nervously and by the way things were going, he might have been able to dry the damn thing out completely. Ichigo was intimidating for more reasons than Keigo could probably readily explain, but most of his intimidation came from the fact that Ichigo just looked scary. He looked like some of the Mavericks he had run into during that short period he had spent with that Mizuiro guy, scowl-y and whatnot. And his questions were kind of nerve-wracking as well.

"Aah... I don't really know if it can be fixed by anyone except the man who made me.." He looked down sheepishly, that nervous smile still on his lips. "I'm custom-made, so I don't think it'd be an easy thing to fix." Of course, that was just his impression. His owners never had any other technicians fix him or do routine check-ups except that one man, so it was just natural to assume that.

And then Ichigo asked him why he was nervous. Well, that was a can of worms if Keigo ever saw one. He twitched a little and started wringing at the ( ... )

Ichigo didn't enjoy observing other people's behaviors-- it didn't really interest him personally as he found people pretty boring in general-- but his programming insisted he keep note of it anyway. Who knew when the next threat might show up and threaten the clinic? His eyes kept flicking down to the rag to see if he was still wringing it and when Keigo didn't seem inclined to stop he frowned. What the hell was Keigo's problem? It looked like he might rip the cloth in half if he kept it up, provided he had enough strength to accomplish such a task ( ... )
