Apparently Melissa and I are prone to having sick kitties. Charlie somehow took out a huge chunk of fur on her neck last night, now it looks pretty gross. It's pretty common when you rescue a critter from a pound situation that they have some kind of ailment when you bring them home. All 4 of our babies are rescues, and all of them have had some kind of sick less than a couple weeks after we saved them. Our kitty was fine for a few days, then he started losing hair and snotting and coughing horribly. He had the feline equivalent of kennel cough. Dexter had so much wrong with him that I'm surprised he is healthy now, although still dumb. Noel had a hip problem and needed some surgery in her first year with me. Now, the new pup has kennel cough and it has given both the grownup dogs upper respiratory infections. It goes with saving a furball. I'll bet that Charlie will turn out fine.

Who is your vet?

You saying this made us feel much better. I am assuming she will be fine, she just has this really strange bald spot that she keeps scratching more hair out of. Alice actually scratched herself into a bald spot last year, but it was food allergies.

We got to the Fairhaven vet.
