Time is moving so bloody slowly at the moment. I don't think humans are capable of being happy all the time, even if technically they should have reason to be cheerful, human nature gets bored, or starts griping about the smallest thing. It's as if ying and yang is built into our natures, inescapable. Using the food analogy, I used to love jammy donuts, but I ate so many at SD that now the mere sight of one repulses me. :-)
I did a philosophy degree, and had to spend ages discussing whether time, in fact, existed. Indirectly, this was quite fruitful; it tought me that you mind goes funny if you have too much free time on your hands. Metaphysicians are weird. ;-)

Yay, I now have a reason to write in live journal. Anyway I must stress that any pointless ramblings do not stem from any kind of research into metaphysics or philosophy. I will have to agree, I have a lot of free time and my mind has gone a bit funny, although it's difficult to tell if this is a recent occurrence I think it may have been that way for some time.. :-)

Honestly, I'd advise against any research into metaphysics or philosophy. At best, they just give you fancy titles for That Cool Thing You Thought Of In The Pub, at worst bore you shitless.
Pointless ramblings of people still alive are much more interesting. ;-)
