჻ HISTORY Cages are meant for animals. Cages are meant for rapists, murderers, and all of those who have committed crimes. Now cages are meant for girls and boys like Su, a young woman who is a part of the Clover Project. The Clover Project was created by the military, as they deemed it necessary to collect and test the powers of these certain individuals that could possess strange, if not dangerous powers.

The Clovers were ranked by power. The weakest clovers are the one leafs while the strongest are the three and four-leaf clovers. The five wizards being the nation’s protectors allowed the three-leafed clovers human interaction. It is said that it would take all five wizards to defeat one three-leaf, but to defeat a four-leafed clover would be impossible. That is why when Su was discovered, it was decided that she would live out her life alone. It was too risky to allow her the freedom of things like forming friendships, or even worse, falling in love. It could jeopardize the nation’s national security and destroy what little was left within the world.

When Su first entered the cage she was only a young girl. She never knew her father but her mother raised her. At first, her Mother was afraid of her. The child she bore was powerful, strange, just not right, but then the woman realized that Su was worth something. Su’s own mother turned her into the government without a second thought, took what was given in return, and left without even a goodbye to her daughter.

After that the girl was met with experiments and tests. Like a lab rat, she was the government’s specimen. Along the way, they discovered many things about the girl. For instance, any sound no matter how small she can hear. From far off she was even able to hear a singer named Oruha, a one-leaf. General Ko, whom Sue affectionately calls Grandma, allowed her to call Oruha on the phone. Despite the fact that by allowing this, General Ko was breaking the law, the woman pitied the fact that the girl was all alone.

Quickly, Oruha and Su seem to hit it off. Many times Su always had wished to meet with someone who wouldn’t care about her powers. Even though they would never be able to see each other, they became best friends, and even sang a song together. Oruha also told her about Kazuhiko, the man she loves. Not long after, Oruha explains to Sue that she is a One-Leaf and her only power is that she can see the day she will die. She explains to Sue that she knows that she will die, but first wants to sing Su and Kazuhiko a song. On stage, she sings, and on stage she dies. That day, Su lost her first and only best friend.

Later, Kazuhiko is called forth from retirement to bring the girl to Fairy Park. She embarks on this journey with no intention of coming back to the cage. Sue’s first and final wish was that she wanted to be happy. Along the way, Su and Kazuhiko form a bond of friendship- Maybe even a bit more than that.

The journey is dangerous, but once they reach Fairy Park they encounter a statue of Oruha. This is where Su had wished to meet both Oruha and Kazuhiko. The man states that she isn’t alive any more, but Sue says that she is, and presses a hand to his heart. Quickly things spiral downhill from there. The Wizards were taking down the Fairy Park along with Oruha’s statue. Injured from debris, Kazuhiko asks for Sue’s aid so he can protect them.

Once they’re out of harms way, the two-leaf Gingetsu brings him to safety, but leaves Sue there. She sings as the Park falls to pieces, sitting atop of the still standing statue of Ora. The park explodes, killing the girl. It had never been her intention to go back as she promised the council that once she reached the park, she would destroy herself. Despite this she smiles softly, her final words being “I’ve found happiness. Thank you, Kazuhiko.”

    ჻ PERSONALITY
‘I wish for happiness. I seek happiness. To find happiness with you, to be your happiness, so take me somewhere far from here.’

If there is one thing that Su certainly wants, that would be company. Being isolated from mankind for so long left her in a rather lonely state. She’s very honest in her feelings. If you ask her if she’s lonely, she won’t lie. The girl has even said that she likes to sing, because then she isn’t alone. Being trapped in a cage for so long has made her that way, but she isn’t a bad person. In fact, she seems very fragile at a glance. You wouldn’t think that she was the four-leafed clover.

Su is very true to her emotions as it is quite easy to see how she’s feeling through her expressions and words. When she is pained, she cries, when she’s happy she smiles. Despite being experimented on, she is actually a very kind and gentle person. If you’re sad she’s the type of person that says just the right thing to make you feel a bit better about the situation at hand. As the manga goes on, it becomes very obvious that she cares for her friends. When Kazuhiko says that he is going to stay up day and night to guard her, she immediately offers to stay awake so he can get some rest.

Besides that, Su is an extremely hopeful person. For years she wished that she could find happiness and that she could meet Kazuhiko and Oruha at Fairy Park. She never did give up on that wish and it most certainly did become a reality. Surprisingly enough when she agreed to destroy herself once reaching Fairy Park, she stayed true to her word. She didn’t try to run away or fight it. Her simple wish had been fulfilled and that really was the thing she wanted most. Along the way she was able to feel sadness, hope, fear, happiness, and even that strange thing we call love. After all those years her wish had been granted, that was more than enough.

▓ nuadoria specific
≡ WHAT ARE THEY BRINGING TO NUADORIA?: Absolutely nothing but the clothes on her back.
≡ YOUR CHARACTER'S ELEMENT: Darkness
≡ WHAT IS THEIR GESTALT?:

Normal

Attack

≡ HOW WILL THIS CHARACTER FIT INTO THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE GAME?: Well, generally the girl is friendly and can be pretty uplifting when she wants to be. Su would pretty much want to help fix whatever she could help in fixing when it comes to getting the world to not fall apart, etc. Other than that, she’d probably just want to make friends and protect the people she cares about. I don’t even know if I’m doing this section right. I’ve never done anything like this before.

✔ THIRD PERSON SAMPLE:
When Su opened her eyes her whole body ached. She was dizzy, as if she had just run for a very long time and wasn’t allowed a single drink along the way. As she lay on her side, it felt as if her stomach was in a knot. The girl’s evergreen eyes opened wide as she slowly pushed herself into a sitting position. “This… I’m alive?” At a loss for words, she pressed a delicate hand against her heart.

It was still beating, but how?

Fairy Park had been enveloped in flames along with her, this shouldn’t be possible, but it was. Again another dizzy spell hit her and she furrowed her brows, urging it away. “I can’t sense any of the other Clovers.” Her voice was soft as she spoke to herself. Su felt very much alone as she finally found the strength to stand. The streets before her were eerily empty.

“Just what is this place? It isn’t anything like I’ve ever seen before.” There was a small fluttering noise and she looked up to the bright blue sky. Birds were fluttering overhead, real birds. Su smiled brightly as a lone feather fluttered down from the sky. Outstretching her hands, she caught it. It felt strangely soft compared to the mechanical bird’s wings. It was black like the night sky, it was beautiful.

“I will treasure this.” With the birds it didn’t seem all that eerie anyone. Yes, it was new, but it was welcomed. It was rare for her to see a living animal. “Oh, maybe I’ll see a cat again.” Su’s heart fluttered a bit, it had been a fat cat but so very cute! The girl felt a bit worried and confused, but there weren’t any bars holding her here. There were houses, stores, and in the distance it looked as if there was an ocean as well.

With her eyes filled with hope and wonder she began to walk toward the sound of waves crashing. Perhaps this is what true freedom felt like.

✔ FIRST PERSON SAMPLE:
[It’s strange, how even when one of the Generals becomes angry, she doesn’t become angry. Instead, Su sighs and sits on the branch of a large oak tree. It’s not very fair, is it? They’re able to have friends and family but all Su gets to have are simple machines. Still, she smiles a bit and rubs at her eyes a little. Carefully, her hand reaches out to allow one of the birds to perch on her fingers.]

It’s all right though, isn’t it…? It’s another cage, but this is a different ending than what I thought it would be. I-Well, this place certainly isn’t anywhere near where the Clovers are. …Nuadoria.

[The bird chirps in reply before fluttering off. She looks upward to the sky. Her own mechanical wings spread out and she flies upward in a spiral. The air is warm from the sun’s rays. Oh, if only she could feel the warmth of the sun without the worry of endangering her friends. The air would feel so, so fresh and new in her lungs.]

…Maybe someday this will end. But there are people on the other end of this connection, so won’t this be different?

Why am I here in this place called Nuadoria?
