my itunes never had gaps in between the songs. they like fade right into each other. and i dont have the new fancy one, it just always did that.

Yeah, iTunes has had the crossfade feature for a while, but whenever you tried to play songs on your iPod, it would always put gaps between the songs. This is a wonderful fix, that many people have tried to achieve in a roundabout way since the dawn of the iPod. Five years later, they finally fixed it. It took them long enough, but they finally did it. This problem only affected iPods. iTunes is just fine.
