Hey Ben,

Hope you don't get mad but I'm one of those people that knows life is not fair( and I say Thank God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) If life was fair then I would not be around, as well as some of the most fascinating people in this world. I believe life is much more than money and cars. My relationships only increase in value as time goes on. While your money and car started losing value the moment you drove it off the lot. Hang on, you're young, intelligent, and driven. Keep your mind open and have fun!

I was really fascinated by your "synopsis":
With our last academic class recently ending, we started to think about school. The subject of school was still freshly looming within our minds thereafter.
"What do you think about Cal States?" she asked.
"I am not going to one," I responded. "Imagine we went to community college? How horrible would that be?"
"Ben, don't even mention it."
"Yeah, I know." We laughed.

I urge you to share your experiences at GCC with the juniors who surround you when you get to Berkeley. I have a guess about what you may find, but I'd love to hear you take (after you transfer, of course). I've always believed that schools are life fountains- all offering water, some are merely more visually pleasing or are set in a more compelling environment. In any case, however, it is up to the student to take water from the fountain. I hope that you've had opportunities to drink your fill while at GCC.

Nice to have you in class, Ben.

Mike
