I just splurged and bought myself this, and I couldn't be happier. The review I linked to compares it to the iPod, which was the only other portable I was considering getting. It's cute, in a non-Apple sort of way. I'm actually jealous that it has equalizer settings. I wish my iPod had a bass boost sometimes. But the iTunes thingy is mad handy.

Another useful feature is the Rio DJ

I can tell it to make me a playlist of variable length (15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour), based on different settings (random, stuff that hasn't been played in a while, stuff you listen to a lot, etc.)

It's pretty cool.

But I'm feeling you on the iTunes thing. This Rio Music Manager is alright, but I get "unspecified errors" now and again...

Alright, I'm feeling a sudden need to personify my new MP3 player. My current thinking is Zooey, since I like to keep it in my pocket. Heh.

Thoughts? Better suggestions? I'm all ears.

No, I like Zooey! It sounds like something cute, which is an inherent necessary quality for an MP3 player!
