I would be after doing the research for my presentation on No Child Left Behind tomorrow. The program is so incredibly simple-minded that it can't hope to fail. In fact, I'm not even going to worry too much about it, because it will be gone and seen as a giant failure by 2014. Thanks for the stats and the eloquent argument. I pretty much knew (or assumed) that No Child Left Behind was no good, but now I know why!

Incidentally, I didn't get to present this yet, and will be doing it in two weeks. There are a few older, conservative folks in my class, but since they're going into teaching, they actually agree with me on this point. Preaching to the choir isn't a terribly effective avenue of chnage, but at least they'll have concrete facts to back up their feelings of vague uneasiness.

Which is just what Rach's comment was going for. :)
