After I graduated from high school, I was a fudge packer for around $8/hour. I worked at the Palmer Chocolate factory and bagged candy, mostly non-fudge, but I digress. Now, working at UPS, I'm a package handler. I get paid $9.50 an hour to handle packages. Here's hoping my next job has no sexual innuendo.

You'd think that with four years of high school and four years of college, I would have learned to not procrastinate by now. While watching VH1 before work one day, I caught the video for Death Cab for Cutie's new song, "Soul Meets Body." This past Saturday I purchased a used 1997 Saturn SL1, a cell phone, an air conditioner for my room, and one of those Nintendo DS things. So one of my biggest problem with this trip was the prospect that I'd be missing two new episodes of Gilmore Girls, the only show I make a point to watch. I first learned of the Red Hat Society while shopping for Christmas trees this year. Hidden amongst the normal fare of proper green trees with silver tinsel, colored lights, and flashy ornaments (all for sale at reasonable prices) was a bizarre tree creature.
