New Years in Iraq

Nothing like the feast we had Christmas or Thanksgiving, but people still celebrated. Or at least I assume they did, since someone stole a HMMWV, smashed it into a concrete barrier, and left it in front of my hut. I've enjoyed reading your journal and happy to hear that you are coming back soon. Gee, those 6 months have flown by for me - how about you??(ha ha)

I'm leaving the exact date a bit vauge, but I'll be back within 3 weeks.

And I still thing the best way to dodge shaving without sporting facial hair is clipping to stubble. Of course, you need pretty light colored hair to get away with that without constantly having homer simpson face.

Don't forget the Mig altimeters.
I've always fancied a nice ancient artifact.
A few of those would be nice if they're cleaned up.
