There’s something nice about rainy days in Iraq, namely, the damn sun isn’t blazing. The rain started out this past week, and for the most part it didn’t make much of a difference. We had the one storm that dropped more mud than water, but before Tuesday, it was still summer. I’d see some spots appearing on the HMMWV’s hood, but they’d be gone ( Read more... )

Well there are some Classic car magazines available. elfich47 October 19 2003, 18:29:17 UTC
But they may be aimed more at the Bentley, Jag, MG catagory of old English cars. If I see it I'll post a link to the magazine's website.

God knows what it costs to ship you twizzlers half way round the world, only to find that you can probably supply us cheaper. What other bargains are available in the PX? I could use a new rolex.

V/v magazine selection, the strategy was a) those bike and car magazines are mostly british technoweenie gearhead droolmats that depict vehicles that most of us will never experience anyway, but are there any better mags of this genre out there? b) they cost nothing to me thanks to uncle rickey s., so shipping risk is nil c) porn is porn-only this will slip under the islamic moral radar, if there is one. So enjoy-maybe you'll be inspired to craft and graft a paddleshifter onto the humvee.

Btw, is there anything else we have that you need that is small enough to ship, durable enough to survive, valuable enough to be worthy of transport, or cheap enough to chuck if it is not?

You know, the reason I read alot of Four Wheeler and Petersen's 4Wheel Off road is they're the only magazines I know that will run an article about doubling the value of a $1000 vehicle. Or the classic series of articles, "Junkyard Basics", or "How to buy a $500 truck".

I do enjoy the motorcycle & car magazines, and I certainly enjoy reading about the newest McLaren or Lamborghini. I might even someday buy something like that.. who knows. It just seems funny to me that I'm so cheap when it comes to buying cars.
