Short lived thrills

As if I needed more hazards, I bought a bike. The HMMWV’s been down (and will be down) for an alternator for a while. There’s something about my personality that makes it uncomfortable to not have my own mode of transportation. I think it’s a cross between independence and impatience. I'm still trying to picture you on a bike rather than driving a big car of some sort... it's not easy, but the image of you altering/fixing the bike does help a bit...

You'd think with your experience in the parking lot with no helmet would have taught ya something. Yeah, you're right, wouldn't have done shit for me either.

I actually was wearing my kevlar helmet, which offers quite a bit more protection than one of those Bell styrofoam head packing material things.

It was really funny, because I sort of pushed myself off the barrier, landed on my feet, and picked up the bike carcass in one step. I had enough time to realize that I had no way to avoid the barrier, and no means to stop, so I was laughing my ass off immediately after I hit.
