Oh wow!!!!!!!!!1 It gives thought to the imagination on fire in his mind. So many details...even to little foot prints. I didn't know he did this type thing. Its lovely and thank you and hugs you so close xoxoxoxo v

He made marvelous illustrated letters for his children for years, Verangel. Yes, that was a fertile, fire-up imagination the man had, and varied ways of expressing it. Lucky us! I didn't know the extent of it until I got a Tolkien Christmas book a couple of years ago.

Moley, what a beautiful icon. I love it. One of these days when things slow down in my life I mean to catch up with my f-list. In the mean time, a very Merry Christmas!

Have a BEAUTIFUL Christmastide, Pearl. Earlier today while I was prepping the Big Dinner (the big dinner and present-giving at our house, when every year we have my husband's family over -- of Finnish-Swedish background, is on Christmas Eve, not Christmas day, the way it was at our house as a child), I was listening to some English church's version of the nine lessons and carols. At one point a woman's voice perked up my ears. She was reading a lesson and sounded a lot like you, now that I've heard you. I ran to the radio and listened more closely but it wasn't you. Pretty exciting for a minute, though!

How I love your Luthien icon. I know I've asked you before, but who made it? I'd like to ask if I can copy and use it. It's so beautiful. I love that photo of Edith. I'll bet Ronald did too. :)
