I just finished reading Soon I Will Be Invincible, an interesting capes-and-tights superhero novel told in the first-person voices of genius villain Doctor Impossible and newbie cyborg heroine Fatale. For about the first half of the book, I couldn't help hearing Impossible's voice as Rodney McKay if he was 10 years older and really bitter.

I found a small Easter Egg in the Middleman DVD set! Will document tonight (and screen the documentation for those who like to hunt).

I saw Up this weekend and I'd started pondering Pixar's films and their absence of female main characters. There's many supporting ones, but the stories aren't about them. Glancing at the thumbnail image on the original page made me think this was a TARDIS rocket, but I was very wrong.

NASA's Name Node 3 contest could turn into a three-way clicking brawl between Firefly fans, the Colbert Nation, and Scientologists (or folks making fun of Scientologists). One more group of... enthusiastic followers and the Internet may explode.

Maybe this will tide me over until the actor-sculpt Ghostbusters action figures are released: Ghostbusters MiniMates. (I love how the redone movie poster has the "No Ghosts" ghost drawn as a MiniMate.)
