Just a few updates...
Many of you have asked what field of medicine I plan to go into, and I never had a real answer...til now. I have decided (unofficially of course) to go into pain management by way of anesthesiology. The fact that pain management has been so misunderstood and bogged down in a legal system that doesn't do it, its patients or its practicing physicians justice is actually in part what initially drew me to this field. I'm pretty active on the advocacy and lobbying fronts and think this is an area of medicine that could really stand to be improved. Plus, there's something about treating pain and suffering that just cuts to the core of what it means to be a physician to me.
