oh, this was great. Moreover, I have no knowledge about pain management, but as you explained it, it made such a lot of sense!
I don't know how likely it would be for House to open up to a stranger about his pain, though. But for both of them and Wilson in particular, having a different doctor would really be the best thing.

I loved this fic, and the previous one that I just read, too.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the stories, and that the pain management plan made sense. I always worry about not explaining the clinical stuff well enough for anyone to understand it, I tried serving that purpose by having Wilson make sense of the plan in his own head. Yeah, I agree, I'm not entirely sure how open House would be either, but it would be best.
Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)

Really, really well-written. It seems you have done a lot of research. My heart breaks for House and the pain he deals with every day.

Why thank you. I actually didn't really do research for the fic. I'm a third year med student, and am interested in specializing in pain management (it's down to pain or emergency medicine at this point), so it just comes with the territory I guess. Glad it worked for you though.
I know what you mean. Chronic pain is an ill understood and difficult plight.
Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. It's much appreciated. :)

Ah, you're a med student; that explains it! Sorry if I underestimated you!

I give you props for your interest in specializing in pain management. I get the impression that chronic pain patients are often very misunderstood and therefore dismissed (by family, friends, medical professionals, etc). House really brings this point home for me.

Your writing is excellent, and I will be reading the rest of your fics very soon.

Are you kidding? Absolutely nothing to apologize for.
I'd have to agree with you there, and our laws surrounding pain management are no better. My interest in healthcare policy reform and advocacy is part of why I'm looking into pain. At the end of the day, all of us, doctors, lawmakers and society in general could do so much better by these patients.
Thanks so much. I'm so glad you enjoy my stories. They're very fun to write. :)
