It wouldn't verify me to comment there, so I speak here.
I LOVE the analogy of the Tree. If a tree gets water and sunshine (read- education and inspiration) it will continue to grow and flourish. It will weather storms, fires and provide shade and comfort. If it isn't watered or fed. It will wither and die and eventually petrify.
What a beautiful analogy. I am once again.. inspired.
It is very v good! I was getting into the rhizome model when I was writing my thesis, which I feel sure has more work to be done on it. Wikipedia refreshes my memory here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhizome_%28philosophy%29 But I totally stole it from that lady who does the Experimental BD thing, Amara is it? She was the Deleuzemeister.
The only sticking point for me is the ethical need to recognise BD's place in and association with specific cultures. A root works better that way... but for everything else, I love the ideas of betweenness.
