The Hour

I watched the second season of The Hour over the course of three days. The writing unfortunately still lets the show down, which is such a shame because it does have one of the absolute best casts on television and the production design is amazing. As much as I love The Hour with a fiery passion, I agree that it does let itself down at times. That said, it has some of the most brilliant characters on television (despite some of the average dialogue). The cliffhanger was insane and if there isn't a third series I'm going to be very upset.

I do love the characters, so so much. Every single one of them. Probably why I'm so hard on it. And I'll be really upset if there's no third series as well. There was the major cliffhanger which desperately needs resolution and all the other characters were left with ambiguous endings as well. There really needs to be some closure.

I'm actually shipping alllllll the het couples in this show. For a hardcore slasher like me, that's rather scary.

I was literally twitching in my seat due to the cliffhanger.

One key point you forgot to mention: the whole subplot with Laurie. I found it rather heartbreaking.
