[ACCIDENTAL VIDEO // PUBLIC // JAPANESE]
[there's Chidori, in profile; she has her knees curled into her chest, back against the wall, sitting on the floor. Her face is obscured by her hair, but one can still hear her voice: troubled, flimsy in just how faint it sounds. SEES members, remember that time you took her Evoker away? That's what she

[she doesn't sound very convincing]

Despair doesn't suit you. Emotion rarely does.
[Of course his tone of voice doesn't betray what isn't there - genuine concern, sympathy, kindness - he merely sounds vaguely interested. At least it isn't taunting. Really, there isn't much else for him to say at the moment; either she listens or hangs up on him. He's expecting either one about halfway.]

[there's a moment of silence: what does he want from her, why did he have to reply to _this_ of all things. It's really then that she realizes he's _here_, possibly for a good, long while, and she's going to have to face that. Her mouth moves, without forming words, until one question quietly forms]
...What do you want?
[it's not hostile; it's almost a whisper, if anything. She's not even sure of what she means as she says it--what does he want right now from her, in general, from discedo? She barely feels in control of her own thoughts. She doesn't like it one bit]

[He doesn't even know what he wants, and that's what's throwing him off so much. In Port Island, he wanted to live in the moment, until he found true meaning for his life. Then he wanted to take everything else in the world down with him. He wanted to die, with everyone else coming with him. But now he can't die - at least not permanently. He can't even take life permanently here. There really isn't a point in him anymore, and that's so very unsettling.]
I want meaning in this semi-godhood that I never requested. I want a reason to exist, if I am not allowed to cease. I want an explanation for why I am not allowed to simply die if there is no point in life but mere survival.
[There he goes again, talking in riddles. But honestly, his charisma is almost all that's left of him; without death, there isn't a point in embracing it, or preaching it, or delivering it unto others. He isn't capable of true empathy, friendship like SEES - people aren't people to him, merely tools, and lives are far from precious - and so he ( ... )

What I want...?
[her voice is hesitant, unsure, still; that tone of his voice isn't helping. When she speaks, she's being honest; that note of distress is sneaking back into her voice]
I...I don't know.
[....well. There is one thing, one that she's sure of. It's juvenile, perhaps, in comparison to his grand quandaries, but the need in her right now, because of this sudden onslaught of sadness, is nearly desperate]
I want...Medea back.

[except she's really not; luckily, his seriousness actually catches her off guard enough to make her tone slightly less...defensive. ...Slightly.]

[but she's quiet, for a bit; when she speaks again, her voice is still a little shaky, but it's quieter again, less defensive]
...I don't like it here. I don't understand why this happened.

...What's wrong?
[Brilliant.]

It's...
...Jin.
[another pause. She doesn't mean to be difficult, but...yeah, she's answering a question with a question]
What are you going to do? Now that...he's here.

[Even without telling her, he thought it would be obvious.]
You should know what I'm going to do, Chidori...
[Unless she meant towards her. In that case, he has no clue.]

I know you're going to follow him. But...
[really, it was a lot of things that were bothering her-this one just happened to be the most immediate concern. What _did_ she mean, anyway? She knew better than to ask what exactly Takaya was planning, if anything yet. Her voice is quiet when she speaks, but almost uncharacteristically hoarse]
...Forget it.

... that happens a lot here. If you don't want people hearing something, it's best to just bury it somewhere for awhile.
