*I keep forgetting that I'm "not supposed" to be attracted to chubby guys! All of my friends and family know, so it's like I've smooshed that taboo. When I talk about a boy I'm dating my parents actually ask if he's another "chubby one." (which still reflects a bias, but at least they know where I stand). And now when I'm out with my friends they will actually tailor their choices of "hey look at him" to my tastes of the chubby and overweight!

i actually watched that show too and was really disgusted by the fact that they were referring to her as 'big' when she is in NO WAY big, i would go so far as to say that she's actually even kind of SLENDER these days with a chubby face. when they were walking together at the end and i could get a look at her body i was like "what the fuck?"

i think that even though it deals with fat acceptance which is great, at the same time it gives girls a really fucked up perception of what a normal body type is.
