For some reason I am stunned that people are still on LJ.  I was hesitant to follow everyone to Facebook, and then I didn't look back.    Keeping up with this shit (social networking sites) is like a full-time job.  And

Yeah. I can't take all the mafia wars and farmville anymore!
It's nice in many ways, but so is Livejournal. Seems more flexible and personal here.

Lots of good stress with new jobs lately. Not enough time for everything I want to do!

Welcome back! I completely agree that keeping up is a full time job. I hate what FB is doing these days, and I have little to no privacy with Ethan's family on there - so here I am.

I wish I could see you before your big move - but distance prohibits that :(

I am feeling very rushed. Was really hoping/planning to visit Fairbanks, and OKC before moving to each spot. But that will be almost impossible now.

And I still really want to make it to CO too! Will have to buy a plane ticket once things settle. Can't wait.

It's a permanent job in Alaska (assuming I pass all my training, which can take up to 2 years). Once I am fully certified there, I am eligible to apply to transfer for other openings around the country as they become available. I really want to get to Hawaii eventually (or Cali, Colorado, or somewhere WARM) but of course will miss everyone in MN and would apply to transfer back here too if something opened up.

I'm excited for the beautiful wilderness, but am afraid I will go crazy in a smallish city (nowhere close to a bigger one) without my friends! and the dark winters will be brutal.

Just started a new job here yesterday, so in the meantime I will be working nights Thurs-Mon. Varying start times between 1pm and 7pm, but usually done before 11pm. Salaried! =)

I am starting to have a tough time on face book I closed down my myspace but I still have FB but people are giving me crap about not adding them and they are not my friends there Jonathan's sister and some of my inlaws I don't get a long with !
