I'm alive!

Jun 25, 2008 12:41

So, I realize I have not written on this blog in forever. I've been so busy with my internship this summer and college senior panic, my writing fell by the wayside. Anyway, just letting everyone know I am still alive. Hope to have some new movie reviews and game reviews written up soon after this one ( Read more... )

Hey, I'm happy to see that you're doing well! I haven't seen many movies since summer started. So many people have been checking out all the dvds at the library, I haven't been able to get my hands on hardly any! lol I'm not sure if you're a romance comedy fan, but I saw P.S. I Love You and loved it. It has a good balance between sad and funny. Also, I love Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler, so it's even more awesome they're in it. It Happened One Night with Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert is adorable!

I think that's all I can suggest right now...It's good to hear from you!

Aww, it's so good to hear from you, too! How goes life?

Anyway, I am not usually a big romance movie fan (unless it's historical stuff) but I do have this odd liking of Gerald Butler, because I liked him in the "Phantom of the Opera", so I might check your suggestion out.
For sure, I am renting "It Happened One Night", though....I love classic movies, and I've been trying to watch more of them lately.:)

Eh, life has it's ups and downs. Just trying to make the most out of it, lol. My sister is big a classic movie fan and is shocked sometimes when I haven't seen some of them yet. I hope you like P.S. I Love You if you decide to check it out. =)

Glad to hear that you're doing well. Senior panic is normal. Enjoy these moments. You'll miss college when it's over and you jump into the adult world. I promise it'll be ok. I haven't seen any movies this summer so sorry I'm no help with that!

Hahaha, well that is what I am actually panicked about, the real world. I am going to grad. school, though, so it puts it off for awhile, thank goodness. I'm just so unsure I what to do (and I've never pictured myself happy in a typical nine to five job). Ah well.

Thanks for the reassurances.:) I've been falling so behind on movies, too! It's quite sad.

Yeah, ooh, definitely see it! In my previous entry, I wrote a review of it. It has its problems, but the scenery is just unbelievable...and it definitely has some great moments to it. I reccomend the book even more than the movie, btw.:)

Anything else you are looking into seeing?

I am really looking forward to the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight, it seems quite brilliant. Hellboy 2 is another one I am looking forward to and I haven't seen Iron Man yet. How about you?

I also can't wait for Dark Knight or Hellboy 2 (though I need to see the first Hellboy, I must confess!) I was so saddened by Heath Ledger's death, and I really like the director of the new Batman series alot.

As for Hellboy 2, ironically, I've seen every movie of the director's but Hellboy. I love his sense of imagination, though-the characters in Hellboy 2 are just so fantastical looking! He's got a great sense of cinematography, too. I don't read many comic books or graphic novels, so when the first Hellboy movie came out, I remember I wasn't as interested.

Knowing the director better after watching both "the Devil's Backbone" and "Pan's Labyrnth", though I can't wait to see Hellboy 2. Do you think I need to watch the first one to appreciate this new one?

Oh, and GO SEE IRON MAN! It is my favorite comic book adapation so far. Ever. It's just...well, it's amazing. Really funny, really good stuff.:)
