This is just a note to say: I got Super Mario Galaxy. It is amazing. It is fun. I has reduced my vocabulary to the level of a fourth grader, simply because it is that...cool. Oh Mr. Miyamoto, you own my soul ( Read more... )

Oh man, I know! Except I just checked show-times and it is not playing here. Or even within an hour of here for that matter (Yes, I would drive that far, just to see it). I love the Coen Brothers (O Brother Where Art Thou, with George Clooney is one of my fav. movies) and this movie just looks like a good scary movie. Aren't too many of those!

Have you seen anything else recently? I just got 28 weeks later through Netflix and am going to watch it this weekend. Been waiting to see it forever.:) Also, I want to see American Gangster so badly. Solely for Russel Crowe, but hey, nothing wrong with that!

Panzer Tactics sounds so cool..and pretty challenging. I'll definitely have to check it out!
What is ME? Because I must know all video games and when they come out, damnit. Just in case I want to buy yet another one, wasting yet more money that should go towards utilities and schoolbooks.:)

OMG, Mass Effect, of course! Hah, it's funny I didn't recognize the acronym for it, as it's one of the games I want the most right now. The graphics in the game look ridiculously detailed, and the characters seem so life-like.
I didn't know it was getting mixed reviews, though. I thought that it had done really well,review-wise. What are the bad things about it?

I'll get it no matter the reviews, though, I'm sure. First, it's Bioware, and they have yet to release a game I don't like. Second, there just aren't enough next-gen sci-fi rpgs for me to be too picky.:)

I'll have to wait a bit before I buy it, though...I've got a @##load of games I have to beat first (about five, really:)) I also have another sci-fi rpg to get through before Mass Effect called Rogue Galaxy. I got it really cheap at Gamespot, and so far, it seems pretty good.

Oh, and I agree that Half-Life is brilliant. I love the way the puzzles are designed-so clever.

I just bought Mario Galaxy today. It's sitting in a bag, waiting to be opened. Now I may have to wean myself off the crack of video games, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.

Hahahah, oh man, LEGO Star Wars..I haven't played the newest one, but I played the first one, and I know what you mean. The humor in that series is top-notch. Besides, Star Wars and Legos...there is no better combination.;)

I'm happy to hear that you like Mario Galaxy, because when I first heard about it I was pretty skeptical. I wondered how easy it would be to control Mario with that Wii remote, especially considering how immense the levels appear to be. It seemed as though it would be tedious.

You know, I've also been curious about American Gangster. I think I might like to see that one.

I know, I was quite skeptical about Mario Galaxy myself. Surprisingly, though, though the levels are big, they are made up of lots of smaller planets put together, so they aren't so big as to be too overwhelming. Also, the Wii remote for the most part uses basic Mario controls (press A for jump, etc) with a few new attacks (such as shaking the remote for a spin). The controls are really easy to get used to. Even I didn't have trouble with them. :)

As for American Gangster, I'm not usually a huge fan of mob movies, but the story looks interesting (especially since it's supposed to be based somewhat on real events).

Yeah, the Wii really doesn't have enough games on it. The games that do come out are amazing, but they are so spaced out, grr..

I'll have to wait for "No Country for Old Men." It's not even playing within an hour for me...but as soon as I see it's playing, I am definitely going and I'll tell you how it is!

Glad to hear Assassin's Creed is cool. I must say, it is one of the most beautiful games I have seen. I love that it tries to recreate real cities, too...plus the whole historical aspect of the Crusades. I'm a bit of a history nut about the middle ages.:)

And thanks for the clip! The game-play definitely looks great. Now, I just have to save up money for one more game...
