On a good note, the writer's strike is over! Hurrah! I can't possibly explain how happy I am. It's times of desperation, like the writer's strike, that remind me of just what a geek I truly am. I don't know what I would have done without the Oscars to look forward to

Hello, I noticed you'd friended me, consider yourself friended back :)
My fiance summed V-Day up when he said it was "Christmas for couples". I can understand jewellery shops and florists doing a roaring trade, but I saw adverts in a mobile phone shop for buying "the perfect match for your perfect match" or some such nonsense.
Love shouldn't be about buying things, especially not on a certain day.

I agree about that. I'm still a romantic/optimistic person at heart, and I believe that love isn't about gifts at all. There are so many other ways to show you care that are just as wonderful.:)
