Below is the final draft of the Tanner Manifesto, as sent recently to the national Carthian list. The one that's about as secure as a spaghetti strainer. Because of this wonderful degree of security afforded to this list, I have no problems with anyone who wants to claim they got this through the grapevine somehow, nor will I try and attack ( Read more... )

I wrote a very jaded reply and then I thought, no, you've probably got a billion of those from the Carthians. I've seen their idea of Equality and Help, and I'm not usually impressed.

However, if I ever need medical help (again. Long story involving a Carthian with a sword), I'd like to think I could have mlord call you.

It's not like I can use a regular doctor, and you've taken my taunting like a pro. Not that you'd remember.

I can only imagine it'd be fine... though I'd probably give you hell about your own health habits. :)

Something on late night radio made me think of your manifesto.

The guy was talking about how addiction takes over your (sp?) mesolimbic system (sp? Sorry Tanner, was never good at spelling.) Now I know you don't consider addiction to be part of your condition, but hear me out. Vitae is addictive. Me still being living can tell you that, it totally hijacks your brain. I've heard vampires talking about their requiems, how they don't feel like they have real emotions. Not all of them say this, but enough that maybe there's something to it.

So maybe vitae takes over this mesolimbic system, and either overloads it or deadens it or both. Not that that explains the rest of your body being dead or anything.

I don't believe your medical condition theory, but if you remove all the red herrings maybe you can see it how I do.
