“The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.” --Bush, State of the Union Address,
This statement can only be considered "true" if you accept a perverted definition of the word "learned". Attributing a statement you know is false to someone who believes it doesn't make the statement true. Try this on for size if you disagree. "The Saudi Government has learned that all Jews belong to an international terrorist conspiracy known as "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion." The Sixteen Words are a lie of the same magnitude. If a blow job is sexual relations, (and it is) then the sixteen words are an impeachable lie.
Bush's lie convinced many Americans it was necessary to invade and occupy a sovereign nation. Bush's lie has resulted in the spending of hundreds of billions of dollars and hundreds of American and British lives, not to mention thousands of Iraqi dead
Bush's sixteen words robbed his administration of its last shreds of credibility.Reply
