Homesick

In my homeland,
ocean is the light
of each new day.
We live
on the edge
of the wave,
with the smell of the sea,
with its starry wine.

from Pablo Neruda's Ode to Seaweeds

There truly is no place like home. I love the Philippines so very much.

You're right on the money, Colleen. Iba talaga ang pinas.

But I miss Cagayan de Oro more. The last time I was there was 1992, when I graduated from high school (Yep, we graduated the same year, in the same city, but from different schools. We've met a few times before, but "conversations" didn't get more than hi's and hello's). I really miss the place. I spent most of the first 16 years of my life there.

I'm proud to hear that you're successful working "abroad". Great work on the blog (although it's been a while since you updated).

By the way, I also studied at the Ateneo after high school. So if you want to guess who I am, that narrows the field to quite a handful of people.. :)

God bless..

I'm really bad at guessing games!

I'm going back to CDO in March of 2009 for my sister's wedding -- I'm super excited! :-)

I'll update the blog one of these days, I promise. :-)

Wow, congrats to Katie!

It's OK if you don't remember me - I was trying to be like a wallpaper at that time. :)

Hope you'll settle down soon. :)
