Woo hoo! You are ready for the hand-me down parade!

Little boys are full of awesome. I bet your dad is thrilled to have so many grandsons.

moriven's last name continues through our kids, too. I think the family matriarch is pretty pleased by that. My father in law certainly is.

The Good cousins have mostly not reproduced (which is probably a good thing), and moriven's brother had 2 girls. The only other Good boy in this generation is the son of a second cousin that no one can stand (all conversations are all about him :-p).

It's cool to get to narrow down the name game, too. I don't know why it ended up being so important to me to figure out early on, but it was. I guess it's all part of the getting ready for baby process for me. Of course, after deciding, we get months of conversational redirection because we like to keep it a surprise. (Keeping the name semi-secret is a piece of advice I like, since everyone will have an opinion, from "oh, how nice" to " I knew a [name] in high school and he was a complete jerk, so I don't ( ... )

Too bad we had the girl's name picked out... I'll have to see what Jed will let me get away with. =) I keep telling him that no matter how geeky the name is, if the child can reason its way out of a confrontation, run, or fightback then he should have a fine childhood.

I'm sure Jed is already looking up where he can register for an anvil. =)

Yaaay, look forward to chatting with you tonight.

CONGRATS to the both of you! I grew up with four brothers (I was the only girl). Our family is very boy-heavy with most of my cousins being male. As a result--I feel most comfortable as a nanny working with little boys. While I adore little girls too, there's just something so energetic about boys.
