I have already babbled on to many of you about my ridiculous AUs in IM, but I wanted to ramble more about them in my journal. I am obsessed, I know. Have been, in fact, ever since I got back from China and read
( Read more... )
lol Err...mine or kishmet's? XD Because my AU's success still wavers on whether or not I can get around to writing it from start to finish what with classes starting and all.
I've always wanted to make a team into a group of either government officials (like the Parliament) or knights, so this was a pretty perfect opportunity. *is a selective history geek*
The King Arthur one - I've always been fascinated by the myth and the stuff behind it, and I love AU Round Table stories XD. And it would be fascinating to see how Hyotei would interact like that.
lol Oh, awesome. I'm a devoted fan myself. :D To me Hyoutei makes the most sense because I've always seen them with an air of regality that I can't quite explain atm. |D
Yay! I'm glad you approve. ^^ Although Atobe/Tezuka is not my OTP, I do like the pairing lots, and really if I think about it, it only makes sense to have Tezuka as Guenever if Atobe is Arthur and Ryoma is Lancelot. :)
8D Although the only kink I'm still working out with the RoundTable!Hyoutei thing is that Lancelot was supposedly the one who invented the concept, and I can't see Ryoma suggesting it without some type of...er, not-so-noble intent. >>;
How about throwing some Hyoutei and Seigaku members together at the Round Table? Oh wait, there are 200 members at the Hyoutei tennis club. Might be a little narrow >>;
As for "I can't see Ryoma suggesting it without some type of...er, not-so-noble intent." It could be part of a Prophecy or something >>;
And how about cross-dressing instead of genderbending? xD Well, there aren't many female characters to fill the Guenevere position anyway >>;
That was what I was thinking. ^^ Except I was just thinking about writing the Hyoutei regulars as the more well-known knights of the Round Table because I can't write Seigaku very well, and it's Atobe's castle, so it wouldn't make very much sense if there were too many knights from Tezuka's kingdom, especially if all those knights sat around the Round Table.
Ooh, speaking of prophecies, you reminded me that I need a Merlin. T___T But lol I can see Merlin suggesting it to Ryoma, and Ryoma being all, "Hey, sure, why not?"
I'm not very big on either cross-dressing or genderbending to be honest. XD; And it doesn't help that I'm not very fond of any of the tenipuri female characters, so Guenever would need to be a guy, and Atobe would somehow have to get over it.
Well, Tezuka could've brought some knights with him. And Ryoma isn't exactly Hyoutei either xD
Merlin!Sakaki! And Sumire-sensei could be the Lady of the Lake lol And I can't see Ryoma going "Hey, sure! Why not?" with anything. >>; I mean, maybe with the right poking and prodding it might be manageable
LOL it's AU, anything's possible. All the faeries and stuff aren't really compatible with the real world anyway...
Well, Ryoma isn't Hyoutei because Lancelot was French and wasn't born in Arthur's kingdom. And it would totally make sense for Tezuka to bring a few knights with him; I think I can a least pull off two or three Seigaku characters. ^^
lol My brain would explod with Merlin!Sakaki. I was actually kind of thinking about Uther!Sakaki, actually, and have him be all, "Itte yoshi!" as he dies after battle. 8D Ahahahahaha, oh god. I will never look at the Lady of the Lake the same way ever again.
Heh, I meant more like a "Sure, do what you want. *shrug* I'm going to go look for Ponta (y'know, the thing that didn't exist in medieval times)" kind of thing.
Yeah, I'd say so. I mean, Arthurian Legends are fictional to begin with.
