DN quiz thing.
There's absolutely no point in any of you reading this. I'm just doing it because I'm a little obsessed.

Death Note
How did you first get into Death Note?: around September 2006, I think...
What was your first thought about it?: "Geez. No wonder this is such a popular series." "L! <3"
Did the shinigami freak you out at first?: No. I did find Ryuk creepy, but it was kind of fascinating.
How about the power of the Death Note?: I thought it was kind of dumb, actually. Which it is.
What do you think of...
Raito?: His intentions were good at the beginning, but... his lust for power corrupted him, and then we was just plain psycho. I love his character, (and, indeed, loved him, until he went power mad, anyway) becuase he's a good whacked-out bad guy, who, to be perfectly honest, sees no wrong in what he's doing. And his genius powers are damned impressive.
Ryuuzaki / L?: <3 Creepy as he can be sometimes, he's fantastic. His detatched manner weirds me out occaisionally, but his detective skillz are top notch, and still impress me. Plus, he likes cake. :3 <3 And his mannerisms are way too endearing. <3
Misa?: I... used to like her. When she first turned up, I was pretty amused by her. As far as I was concerned, she was just a sweet kid with a crush, who just happened to be willing to kill for her love. -_- But when the story hit post-L, she became just an annoying brat. A cute brat, but still.
Matsuda?: :D Matsuda's the man! His stupidity overwhelmed me in the Yotsuba arc, but... He's too cute. His devotion and trust towards Light is ... unnerving... But he's him - dorky, silly, and immature - even when he's on a job in the investigation HQ. I may have declared utter love for him after seeing his actions right towards the end of the series.
Sayu?: Cute, but doesn't warrant a mention, as far as I'm concerned.
Remu?: Meh. I never really liked her.
Mello / Mero?: <3 <3 <3 Utter. Love. He was too emotional, and got too caught up in trying to beat Near, and it finished him off, in the end, but... I love that about him. And I love when he's explaining a plan or figuring something out, and everyone has to stop, and realise that, woah, he really is a genius, and he's dangerous.
Near / Nia?: He's too robotic for me to actually feel any affection for him... But I like him. And his toys. :3
Do you think...
Raito is doing what's right for Japan?: No
That L's the rightful savior?: ... I believe he wants justice, and to bring Kira down.
That L is still alive?: Definately not.
That Misa is a little too obsessed with Raito?: Yeah...
That Mero / Mello is on crack?: Heh. I wish there was something like that we could blame his decisions on sometimes.
That Nia / Near is the right successor of L?: ... maybe. Maybe if he worked in a team with Mello, as Roger suggested they do... We've seen that Near's plans would have been his undoing had it not been for Mello. And, yes, Mello got himself killed because he made reckless choices, but... Together, they could surpass L, whereas seperately they're below him.
That Matsu should stop hitting on Sayu?: Nah. If it weren't for the scarily significant age difference, they'd be cute together.
That Mero / Mero is insane?: ... Not insane. He definately has issues, and maybe he was a little unhinged, but I don't think he was ever insane.
That L is related to Nia and Mero?: Certainly not.
That Misa is annoying as hell?: She can be, at times.
That Raito sucks?: No. As I said, I love the character. He's not good, by any means, of course, but I love him.
That L is a little weird?: More than "a little." But that's what makes him so compelling.
That the police should leave Kira alone?: No. The team did right by sticking by the investigation.
Is Death Note getting boring now?: Never!

Character that's useless?: Every character has a purpose, and while I'd like to be able to say so-and-so's useless, I can't.

Who is smarter : Raito or Ryuuzaki?: ... I couldn't say.
Who is more clever : Mero or Nia?: Near.
Favorite shinigami?: Ryuk
Most insane character?: Mikami
Most annoying?: Misa, post-L.

Favorite scene?: Light and L's chained-together fight, Matsuda being a spack when he's listening in to Light and Takada's conversations, any time L eats something, any appearance of Mello, when Matsuda shoots Light, the period of time where there are cameras in Light's room...
Least favorite scene?: Mello's death, Light and Yagami Sr.'s confinement, when Matsuda cocks things up, when Yagami does his terrifying "there's always a new career!" face.
Who has the best wardrobe?: Mello, Matt. Mikami's pretty swish, but he's a lawyer, so it's to be expected. Misa has some pretty funky stuff.
Who has the worst taste in clothes?: Mello, but I love it.
Favorite quote?: "You may call me whatever you wish, but I'm taking your cake."
Favorite hairstyle?: L's. I'm rather fond of Reiji Namikawa's, as well.
