Apparently the Australian Communist Party is back, and plans to contest the next federal election. They are an umbrella of communist groups calling themselves the 'Communist Alliance

Socialism is just a polite term for communism. :P

And if we can be rude to the liberal party, why can't I be rude to the communists? :P

I just find it hilarious mainly because:

"hey! elect us and we'll do everything we can to change the current political system!"

... I generally think most political parties have their flaws, but the socialists/communists? *Shrug* Take some of the ideas in moderation, and hey, see if that works a bit better.

Well... no, not really.

I prefer the government to run things, but that's just me. I pay my taxes for them to fix stuff, and I expect fixing. That's my view :P

In the interests of disclosure, I'm something along the lines of a libertarian/anarchist with a side dish of staunch monarchism... I tend to think the smaller the government, the better.
